Santa Clara is a family oriented and business friendly city. Located in Santa Clara County at the southern tip of San Francisco Bay, about 45 miles south of San Francisco, Santa Clara is a strategic regional hub, convenient to freeways, airports, railroads, expressways, light rail and other public transportation. Voted one of ten All-America Cities in the New Millennium by the National Civic League, Santa Clara has a "High Tech, Human Touch, H2" approach to serving the community's needs. It offers the region's lowest combined utility costs in the nine Bay Area counties.



 

Campbell

Located in the West Valley of Santa Clara County, Campbell, although not a major high-tech city like many of its neighbors, Campbell is home to the Pruneyard Shopping Center, a sprawling open-air retail complex which was involved in a famous U.S. Supreme Court case that established the extent of the right to free speech in California. Campbell is situated in the southern portion of the Santa Clara Valley, with Highway 17 passing through eastern Campbell and Highway 85 to its south. The historic downtown is vibrant and includes a wide array of restaurants, shops and amenities for people of all ages. Easy access via Lightrail, enables Campbell residents and visitors to explore nearby neighborhoods as well. A quick ride to the SAP center for Sharks hockey games or enjoy a concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre. The southwestern area of Campbell is known as the San Tomas neighborhood and varies somewhat from most of Campbell in the size of its lots and styles of housing.

 


Los Gatos

The Town of Los Gatos is nestled at the base of the Sierra Azules, and is located approximately 60 miles south of San Francisco, in the southwestern portion of Santa Clara County where the Santa Clara Valley meets the lower slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Los Gatos is within the largest metropolitan area of northern California, and is closely tied to Silicon Valley and its fast paced economy. Los Gatos, however, retains a mix of residential, commercial and light industrial uses, still attracts visitors, and continues to retain its small town image. Los Gatos prides itself as a self contained community with some of the best schools in the area. Over 3,000 businesses serve the residents and act as a destination point for visitors who are attracted to its restaurants, hotels and variety of shops within a pedestrian oriented downtown setting. The Summer comes alive with events such as Music in the Park, Vasona Vibrations, Jazz on the Plazz, the bi-annual Los Gatos Wine Walk and The Great Race. There are many park, greenbelt areas, and hiking trails as well as a vibrant downtown area. Downtown Los Gatos is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the model of what communities strive to achieve in a downtown.

Cupertino

Glass and steel corporate headquarters rise above and yet blend with tree-shrouded residential neighborhoods that climb into the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountain range. This is the backdrop for living, working and playing in Cupertino. The city’s renown as a center of innovation in Silicon Valley far surpasses its moderate size of approximately 60,000 residents. Around the world, Cupertino is famous as the home of high-tech giant Apple Inc. In the San Francisco Bay Area, Cupertino is known as one of the founding cities of Silicon Valley and as a city with excellent public schools. Quality schools and closeness to technology jobs make Cupertino a desirable address for a highly educated and culturally diverse population. Conveniently located in Santa Clara County, Cupertino is just minutes away from San Francisco and other cities in the Bay Area. Los Altos

Tree-lined streets and a small village atmosphere characterize Los Altos, which is located in the heart of world famous Silicon Valley. Just 40 miles south of San Francisco, Los Altos is a residential community served by seven small retail districts. The seven square mile City is developed with small businesses, schools, libraries and churches. Originally an agricultural town with many summer cottages and apricot orchards, Los Altos is now an affluent town in Silicon Valley. Local residents generally attend high school in one of two public school districts: Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District, or Fremont Union High School District. All of the public schools are highly regarded, and many graduates of Los Altos area high schools continue their education at well-known universities.
 

Saratoga

The City of Saratoga, located on the west side of the Santa Clara Valley, directly west of San Jose, is an attractive residential community with a small-town vibe. Known for its high quality of life, excellent schools and distinctive businesses, Saratoga holds a special place in the hearts of residents and visitors alike. Saratoga has a vibrant art scene and a wealth of activities available to residents and visitors, and is home to some distinctive destinations. The City of Saratoga also boasts some of the best schools in the nation, spread across six districts.The Village, Saratoga's historic downtown district, is filled to the brim with unique shops and fine dining destinations. Saratoga's dedication to retaining its small-town feel means that smaller, locally owned shops aren't the exception - they're the standard.

 


Mountain View

Nestled between the Santa Cruz Mountains and San Francisco Bay, Mountain View is a diverse community, ideally located in the heart of the Silicon Valley (10 miles north of San Jose and 35 miles south of San Francisco). At just over 12 square miles, the City is home to approximately 75,000 residents, many nationally and internationally known corporations, and a thriving small business base. Mountain View prides itself on providing excellent public services and facilities that meet the needs of a caring and diverse community in a financially responsible manner. While leading the region in innovation and ideas, the City remains committed to the traditional values of strong neighborhoods and citizen involvement. Mountain View boasts strong safety and public education records and is considered one of the best places to live in the Bay Area.

San Jose

The City of San Jose is the economic, cultural and political center of Silicon Valley and the larget city in Northern California, both in population and area. It is located in the center of the Santa Clara Valley, on the southern shore of San Francisco Bay. San Jose is a global city, notable as a center of innovation, for its affluence, and Mediterranean climate. San Jose's location within the booming high tech industry, as a cultural, political, and economic center has earned the city the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley".
 
 


Sunnyvale

Sunnyvale has long enjoyed a plum spot at the center of the Bay Area’s evolution from agriculture, to aerospace and defense, to technology. The location strikes the perfect balance – a mild, sunny climate with easy access to metropolitan amenities and abundant natural beauty. Sunnyvale is the seventh largest city in the Bay Area. As a center of technology and innovation, but also a town of quiet family neighborhoods, strong schools and a diverse community of people. The Department of Public Safety, a pioneer in the model that integrates police, fire and emergency response, has kept Sunnyvale ranked at the top of the nation’s safest cities. Sunnyvale’s park and recreation system boasts 23 parks; facilities for golf, tennis and swimming; a library; and an arts complex. Sunnyvale’s historic downtown, home to a variety of local eateries and merchants, hosts frequent art festivals, concerts and a year-round farmers’ market.
